What does a senior oil rig mechanic do?

A Senior Oil Rig Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used on oil rigs, such as engines, pumps, and drilling machinery. They oversee junior mechanics, ensure that safety standards are met, and respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize downtime. Their expertise is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of drilling activities on offshore or onshore rigs. Additionally, they often participate in preventative maintenance programs and keep detailed records of repairs and inspections.
