Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Juno Beach, FL that is seeking a Physical Security Network Engineer.
Position Summary:
The Physical Security Network Engineer is responsible for reconfiguring corporate physical security devices as part of the enterprise network refresh. This role focuses specifically on updating and securing access control panels, IP cameras, badge readers, video recorders (NVRs), and other IP-based security systems to align with new network standards.
The position is hands-on and execution-focused, ensuring devices are properly segmented, secured, tested, and documented.
Key Responsibilities:
Device Reconfiguration:
* Reassign IP addresses for security devices to new approved subnets
* Move devices into designated security VLANs
* Update associated management systems with updated device network information
* Verify proper connectivity to access control and video management systems
Network Validation:
* Test camera feeds and recording functionality
* Confirm badge access systems communicate properly
* Validate firewall rules allow required traffic only
* Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues
Documentation:
* Record IP address changes and device locations
* Update network diagrams as needed
* Maintain accurate asset tracking records
REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
* 0-3 years of IT or networking experience
* Detail-oriented and methodical
* Comfortable working with network hardware and security devices
* Able to follow technical standards and procedures
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Clear documentation and communication abilities
Basic understanding of:
* IP addressing
* VLANs
* Network switching
* Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with IP cameras or access control systems
* CompTIA Network+ or CCNA (preferred but not required)
Work Environment:
* Will require onsite work at corporate headquarters
* Occasional after-hours support and flexible work hours during scheduled maintenance windows
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
