Responsibilities:
  • Conduct onsite assessments and document current network architectures and mission-specific requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate hardware installations across multiple environments.
  • Recommend hardware specifications tailored to unique project needs.
  • Support systems engineering teams by modeling and analyzing proposed solutions.
  • Design, verify, and implement hardware test interfaces.
  • Perform MTBF/MTTR analyses to strengthen reliability and maintainability.
  • Analyze operational data to identify system vulnerabilities and performance gaps.
  • Evaluate LAN/WAN designs and ensure architectures adhere to mission security needs.
  • Research and assess COTS/GOTS technologies to drive mission capability.
  • Provide high-level expertise in network engineering, architecture, and planning.
  • Contribute to technical standards, interface specifications, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ensure system designs and implementations meet all government security requirements.
  • Develop and enhance security documentation for new and existing systems.
  • Support wired and wireless network analysis and optimization.
  • Conduct vendor comparisons, cost studies, and system scalability assessments.
  • Deliver independent evaluations of complex network ecosystems and recommend enhancements.
  • Identify and brief system weaknesses with clear, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • An active NSA TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • 8+ years of Network Security Engineering experience supporting complex SIGINT hardware systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • At least three of the following certifications:
    - PCNSA
    - SNSA
    - SNSP
    - Symantec ProxySG 6.7 Technical Specialist
    - Cisco CCNA or higher

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
