Job description

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, AI Platform
Make an Impact Where It Matters Most
At Intelliforce, we build the infrastructure behind the next wave of AI capabilities. In this role, you will help lead development of the platform components that power scalable inference, AI services, and the broader AI application ecosystem. Your work will directly support the systems teams depend on to move new AI capabilities from idea to production, with the reliability, performance, and security mission environments demand.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out
This role gives you the chance to shape both the platform and the team behind it. You will lead AI infrastructure initiatives, guide a small integrated team, and help define how scalable inference, RAG, autonomous agents, and emerging AI services are built and operated. The work blends hands-on engineering, technical leadership, people care, and platform strategy, so your impact shows up in the architecture, the delivery, and the long-term strength of the organization.
At Intelliforce, your work is visible and your leadership matters. Because we support prime programs, our teams stay close to meaningful mission work with real momentum. Because we are a small business, leadership is accessible, communication is direct, and strong engineering gets noticed. Add in long-term stability, strong benefits, and a people-first culture, and this becomes more than another senior engineering role. It is a chance to help build the AI platform others will build on.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Include
  • Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure for AI model inference at scale
  • Lead development and maintenance of production AI services and applications, including RAG, autonomous agents, and emerging AI capabilities
  • Serve as technical lead for AI infrastructure initiatives across integrated teams
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and provide coaching, feedback, and support for assigned team members
  • Act as team point of contact for contract administration functions
  • Define solutions for complex, underspecified systems and requirements
  • Establish technical policies, standards, and governance frameworks where gaps exist
  • Drive adoption of new technologies and engineering practices across teams
  • Implement and oversee monitoring, logging, and observability for AI services
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security across AI platform components
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple organizational levels

Minimum Qualifications
  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
  • 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor's degree

Required Skills
  • Extensive experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production systems
  • Deep expertise in systems integration across diverse technologies and platforms
  • Hands-on experience with cloud engineering in AWS
  • Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes administration and deployment patterns
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience implementing and scaling observability solutions, including APM, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence organizational change
  • Experience developing technical policies and governance frameworks
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership and coordination responsibilities

Desired Skills
  • Experience with AI inference serving technologies such as vLLM or LiteLLM
  • Previous experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain
  • Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems
  • Experience with high-performance computing or distributed systems
  • Track record of successfully driving technical and cultural change
Compensation Range: $203,000.00 - $260,000.00
