As a Senior Turbomachinery Controls Engineer, you will work within Baker Hughes iCenters, monitoring and supporting a Global fleet of rotating machinery, electrical equipment and related auxiliaries. You will focus on data analysis, troubleshooting, and KPI assessment - acting as primary customer contact for technical issues both remotely from iCenter and at site. This role requires close collaboration with project and service engineering teams, vendors, and customers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

As a Senior Turbomachinery Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the focal point for regional sites, resolving technical issues, coordinating with customers and internal teams, fulfilling customized evaluations and optimization studies, and maintaining alignment between site and iCenters.
  • Monitoring a diverse fleet of aeroderivative and heavy-duty gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, VSDS, electric motors, and gearboxes.
  • Analyzing data and alerts generated from Baker Hughes Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D) systems to prevent asset failures and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues on monitored fleet and communicating findings.
  • Preparing and reviewing of technical documentation such as trip root cause analyses, anomaly notifications and monthly reports.
  • Conducting periodic technical reviews and maintaining operating rhythm with customers.
  • Navigating and interpreting site-specific control software (MarkVI/VIe, MicroNet/Plus, RX3i/RX7i, Allen-Bradley) and engineering documents (P&ID, Instrument Lists, Wiring Diagrams).
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, project management and vendors for root cause analysis and issue resolution.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Have 5+ years of technical experience on rotating machinery.
  • Have knowledge of Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Steam Turbines, Electric Motors and Generators.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays, as needed on a rotational basis.
