Senior Cable Specialist – Power Systems

If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Power Systems department as our new Senior Cabling Specialist and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As our new Senior Cable Specialist, you will join a team of more than 50 passionate and high performing HV, MV and LV specialists working predominantly within the global Energy industry. We are particularly focused on offshore wind, power-to-X, carbon capture and energy transition projects. We cover all phases of project delivery including concept and feasibility studies, detailed engineering, EPC and follow-on engineering on international projects.

Your key role will be:

  • Reviewing tender documents and prepare draft proposal covering technical, commercial items and resource planning
  • Review project documents and preparing technical reports
  • Participating in internal meeting and meeting with the clients
  • Preparing design basis in cooperation with various departments
  • Submarine and onshore Cable rating and thermal calculations
  • Leading a cable project (submarine cable or onshore cable scope)
  • Assessing interface with transition joint bay, onshore and offshore substations, and civil works
  • Cable factory and site inspection during cable manufacturing and installation (traveling abroad may require)

About you

  • Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering
  • +5 years’ experience in submarine or onshore (underground) HV cable system design 66KV up to 400KV
  • Experience in Cymcap or other cable rating software
  • Experience in working with cable related international and local standards
  • Fluent in English. Local languages are big plus to deal with local clients
  • Experience in cable installation and civil works is a big plus
