Job description

The Emissions Recovery Technician - ReCAP will lead and perform natural gas re-compression jobs, unsupervised. This person will be responsible for safely and competently conducting re-compression services for customers (pipeline owners/operators). The ideal candidate will display expertise in their craft with significant technical knowledge, be able to foster strong customer relationships, be highly resourceful, and have effective communication & paperwork skills.
What You'll Do:
  • Handle, assemble, and repair natural gas compression equipment. Maintain all re-compression equipment as needed pre and post job.
  • Prepare equipment pre-job in shop (preparation/maintenance), help support the shipment and load out of equipment and paperwork, and log/draft the list of equipment loaded
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate re-compression equipment for field services
  • Operate industry related tools and equipment including forklift
  • Perform operations and use troubleshooting procedures to alleviate problems encountered in the field, ensuring safe and efficient field performance from equipment
  • Ensure that an accurate Daily Field Ticket is completed and signed by the customer, and submitted to management by the end of every day
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis with all onsite personnel prior to onsite work to review and examine re-compression work scope
  • Stops any work when unsafe conditions exist that threaten the safety of people, equipment, and property damage
  • Anticipate patterns and links; look beyond the immediate problem to address wider implications.
  • Respond to customer requirements and address problem solving aspects of all field work
  • Exhibit superior customer service and professionalism in communication with customers, engineers, vendors, contractors, and co-workers
  • Maintain all training requirements and complete training modules in a timely manner to maintain certifications

Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of natural gas compression and the ability to anticipate, identify and address hazards of projects before issues arise
  • Extensive knowledge in the operation, maintenance repair and troubleshooting of various types of natural gas compression equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and repair all equipment
  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in midstream Oil & Gas Industry with natural gas compression experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; An associate degree or related technical certification preferred
  • Able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Heavy travel
