What does a senior midstream engineer do?

A Senior Midstream Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and managing facilities and pipelines that transport oil, natural gas, and other products between production sites and refineries or distribution centers. They oversee the safe and efficient operation of pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, they may lead project teams, conduct risk assessments, and implement new technologies to optimize midstream operations. Their expertise helps minimize environmental impact and maximize the reliability and profitability of energy transportation systems.

To thrive as a Senior Midstream Engineer, you need a solid background in mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering, with substantial experience in pipeline, storage, or transportation projects and a relevant engineering degree, often supported by a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
