Summary:
The Sr. Research Data Analyst is a critical member of the Research Informatics team, responsible for enabling compliant researcher access to clinical and research data while protecting patient privacy and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role requires a highly experienced data professional who can independently define data strategies, lead complex analysis projects, influence data-driven decision-making across the organization, and mentor junior team members. They are a thought leader, driving innovation and ensuring data integrity and compliance across all research activities. This position acts as the institutional intermediary between researchers, the IRB, and data stewards to produce de-identified and limited datasets that support pediatric research. The Sr. Research Data Analyst works with moderate independence, collaborates across clinical, information security, and research administration teams, and reports to the Assistant Vice President, Research Informatics.
MINIMALLY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working with healthcare data in research, clinical analytics, or health information management.
  • Experience leading data projects, influencing stakeholders, and implementing data governance strategies is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HIPAA privacy requirements, human subjects protections, and data de-identification methodologies.
  • Experience working with Epic (preferred) and clinical data structures, and practical experience producing research datasets.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Biomedical Informatics, Public Health, or related field required.
