Job description

The Senior CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to make parts.
We are looking for a successful, very experienced machinist with the ability and knowledge to perform the following:
• read the general dimensions on customer/internal drawings.
• measure parts to print specifications and make necessary adjustments.
• measure coolant concentration and fill machine fluids to proper level.
• operate inspection equipment specific to job requirements.
• operate all CNC-machine interfaces preferred (Fanuc, Siemens or Haas).
• install and touch off grinding wheel.
• use work shifts inputs in the operator interface to decrease set up time between jobs when applicable.
• back off tools and 'dial in' for setup.
• measure all part features required (radii, lengths, steps, etc.)
• Understand thermal expansion effects on part size and compensate accordingly to achieve final part geometry requirements.
• GD&T certified is a plus
• Knowledge of Inspection, polishing techniques and production schedules a plus.
• Must have the ability to build relationships with others
