Job description

Title: Senior Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Status: Full Time/Hourly Non-Exempt (40 hrs. /week; additional hours as needed to support company and individual goals)
Job Requirements
High School or Trade School diploma or equivalent
5+ Years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical (480VAC, 230VAC, 115VAC, and 24VDC)
Job Preferences
Trade School Certification or equivalent
Journeyman Machine Repair
Industrial Truck Experience; Aerial Lift Experience; Fall Protection Experience; Overhead Crane Experience
Job Summary
To maintain and lead, with limited supervision, and execute all procedures for machinery and secondary equipment within the facility involving improvements, repairs and preventative/predictive maintenance goals. General facility maintenance including outdoor identities and miscellaneous maintenance projects assigned. This job classification requires a journeyman level of skill and training in the maintenance and repair functions as assigned. Be able to help lead the Maintenance Department on all tasks, projects, and training needed.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Promotes safety awareness, educates, and enforces all safety rules throughout the facility with the goal set at zero facility related injuries.
  2. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure that safety related items are functioning properly, as well as all facility equipment as scheduled and assigned,.
  3. Perform and lead skilled hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing assignments. Along with hydraulic and pneumatic projects.
  4. Calibrate all machine head and extruder temperature controllers which run all heater bands of the machines.
  5. Perform major repairs to and monitors services to motors, compressors, heaters, blowers, and pumps.
  6. Install, set up, and integrate new machinery and equipment such as material handling systems, PLC control units, etc.
  7. Works from and interprets blueprints as they apply to assigned projects; reviews their specifications with the Plant and Maintenance Manager.
  8. Support the production, engineering and R & D departments.
  9. Help with on the floor training for Maintenance Department Team Members.
  10. Complete all necessary paperwork and computer data. Maintains records of tasks completed.
  11. Follow the required 6S standards at all times, work on continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events as assigned and follow all IATF and EMS Policies and procedures.
  12. Attend any onsite/offsite training courses as scheduled and provided.
