Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead a high-performing Manufacturing Engineering team responsible for developing, sustaining, and optimizing manufacturing processes that support aerospace production. In this role, you will provide technical and people leadership while driving operational excellence, manufacturing innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to implement advanced manufacturing solutions that improve productivity, quality, and business performance. This is a people leadership position.

Your mission: to build and develop a world-class Manufacturing Engineering organization that delivers innovative manufacturing solutions, optimizes production processes, and supports the site's strategic growth while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

This onsite position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and develop a Manufacturing Engineering team responsible for sustaining, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes across multiple product lines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to align manufacturing strategies with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Identify and support new business opportunities by communicating the site's manufacturing capabilities and recommending innovative manufacturing technologies.
  • Lead manufacturing engineering projects, ensuring successful execution of process improvements, capital investments, and production readiness initiatives.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with engineering, regulatory, customer, and quality requirements while promoting standardized and mistake-proof work practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Support manufacturing innovation through cell design, test integration, process validation, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Develop engineering talent through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Present project updates, operational metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing, including cell design, test integration, and manufacturing validation techniques.
  • Strong project management experience; PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Proven success in talent development, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience working in dynamic manufacturing environments with competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of SAP and manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
