Trading Systems Senior Engineer
Position Description
NEAM has an opening for a Trading Systems Senior Engineerwith 5+ years of experience and responsible for the ongoing support,configuration, and enhancement of NEAM's Investment Trading & Complianceplatform.
The role ensures the stability, resiliency, and regulatory integrityof NEAM's pre-trade and post-trade compliance and trading workflows.
The position works closely with PortfolioManagement, Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to supportand enhance the platform.
The position plays a critical role in NEAM's migration froman on-premises Charles River environment to a SaaS platform hosted in Azure,including the reengineering of bespoke automation using modern APIs andsupported extensibility frameworks.
Workwithin a small team to provide day-to-day operational support for NEAM'sCharles River Trading & Compliance platform, ensuring high availability andtimely issue resolution.
Monitorsystem health, batch processing, interfaces, and overnight workflows to supporttrading continuity and compliance obligations.
Remediateand modernize legacy customizations by replacing direct database dependencieswith supported APIs and SaaS-native tools.
Serveas a technical escalation point to vendor for trading, portfolio management,and compliance inquiries related to Charles River functionality.
Partnerwith Charles River product and support teams to evaluate platform releases,manage upgrades, and onboard new functionality.
Ensuresystem behavior aligns with documented compliance procedures and supportsaudit, regulatory, and operational review requirements.
Assistin root-cause analysis for compliance events and trading issues, including "whydid this violation occur" investigations.
Participatein release reviews, change management, and risk assessments related to systemupgrades and enhancements.
Qualifications
BA/BSDegree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or a related discipline and5+ years of experience.
5+years of experience with object-oriented programming languages (preferably C#or Python) and SQL databases.
Strongunderstanding of trading workflows, pre-trade and post-trade compliance, andsecurity operations.
Provenability to support business-critical systems in a regulated environment.
Strongproblem-solving skills that apply an analytical approach to diagnosing andresolving complex system issues.
Workseffectively across business and technology teams.
Experiencesupporting Charles River Trading & Compliance System, or a comparableinstitutional trading/compliance platform highly preferred.
Hands-onexperience with Charles River SaaS migrations or major platform upgrades highlypreferred.
Experienceworking with APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based platforms highlypreferred.
