We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architecture Lead to drive architecture strategy across Wealth Investments, AI-enabled platforms, digital servicing, and omnichannel client and advisor experiences.
Role Overview
The Senior Solutions Architecture Lead is responsible for shaping the long-term technology vision for Wealth Investments and Digital Servicing. This leader drives modernization across investment platforms, enables enterprise-scale GenAI adoption, and ensures Citi delivers seamless, intuitive digital and servicing experiences.
This role requires deep expertise in Wealth Management, investment processes, cloud-native design, digital experiences, and enterprise AI architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture
  • Define a multi-year architecture strategy aligned with business priorities and the Wealth technology vision across key domains, including Digital, Operations, Investments, and AI/ML platforms.
  • Own portfolio-level roadmaps covering investments, digital journeys, advisor tools, AI copilots, and omni-channel servicing.

GenAI & Advanced Analytics
  • Architect and scale GenAI capabilities across Wealth, including:
    • Advisor and banker copilots
    • Personalized investment insight generation
    • Conversational servicing experiences
    • Knowledge retrieval and RAG pipelines
  • Partner with Data & AI Engineering to operationalize models in alignment with responsible AI and enterprise governance.

Investment Platform Architecture
  • Lead design for platforms supporting:
    • Portfolio construction & model portfolio management
    • Managed accounts & discretionary mandates
    • Investment research, analytics, and content workflows
    • Multi-asset trading integration
    • Suitability, risk profiling, and investment planning
  • Drive modernization using microservices, cloud-native patterns, event streaming, and API-first architecture.

Digital & Servicing Architecture
  • Own the architecture for digital wealth and banking servicing, including:
    • End-to-end digital servicing journeys
    • Mobile & web experiences
    • Chat, voice, and intelligent servicing capabilities
    • Workflow orchestration and CRM integration
  • Ensure seamless end-to-end integration with core banking, investments, operations, and client data platforms.

Governance & Standards
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, cloud practices, and AI/ML controls.
  • Lead architecture review boards and drive alignment with enterprise frameworks.
  • Evaluate and influence vendor solutions across investment technology, AI, and digital servicing platforms.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with senior leadership across Wealth Investments, Digital Servicing, Product, Operations, and Advisor organizations.
  • Communicate complex architectural decisions and trade-offs to senior executives.
  • Support business strategy with technology insights and recommendations.

Risk & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with Citi's risk, cybersecurity, AI governance, data privacy, and model risk management standards.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and robust control practices across architecture functions.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in large-scale financial services, preferably in Wealth Management or Investments.
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture, investment platforms, digital servicing, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, and AI governance frameworks.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, budgets, and complex portfolios.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
