Senior Test Engineer โ€“ Dynamics Lab

Applied Technical Services is currently seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support our Dynamics Lab team at our corporate headquarters located in Marietta, GA

Reports to: Dynamics Test Lab Supervisor

Summary: In this position, the Senior Test Engineer will be assisting the Dynamics Lab team and be responsible for the following tasks:

โ€ข Conduct vibration/environmental testing programs for a variety of applications (automotive, aerospace, military, etc.)

โ€ข Improve and develop best practices in the lab, including preventive maintenance

โ€ข Mentor junior technicians

โ€ข Capture test results through detailed datasheets and test reports

โ€ข Follow established industry procedures as well as custom methods

โ€ข Qualified applicants should have excellent organizational skills coupled with knowledge of Word and Excel.

โ€ข Must be able and willing to work in a small but growing team and wear many hats

โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc...)

โ€ข Excellent written and communication skills

Skills, Abilities & Experience

โ€ข Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in a vibration lab preferred

โ€ข Thorough understanding of concepts used in dynamics testing

โ€ข Experience operating and maintaining electrodynamic shakers and controllers (Unholtz-Dickie, IMV, Vibration Research)

โ€ข Familiarity with established procedures (MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160)

โ€ข Experience with Temperature/Humidity chambers (CSZ, Thermotron, ESPEC)

โ€ข Supervisory experience

โ€ข Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

โ€ข Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

โ€ข Ability to multitask and work in a growing environment

Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (will consider Electrical Engineers with coursework relevant to dynamics)
