We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Full Stack Engineer to drive the development of scalable, user-centric solutions across our entire technology stack.


This role focuses on building robust backend services alongside modern frontend experiences that power the travel ecosystem. You'll work on systems that directly impact customer experience and business outcomes, taking ownership from API design through user interface implementation.


Your key responsibilities:


Backend Development:

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services using JVM languages (Java, Kotlin) that power distributed systems
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integration patterns for microservices architecture
  • Optimize database performance (SQL, NoSQL) and design efficient data access patterns
  • Build event-driven and asynchronous systems that handle complex workflows


Frontend Development:

  • Develop responsive, user-centric frontend applications using modern web technologies
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into elegant, performant UI solutions
  • Implement client-side logic for data visualization, state management, and real-time interactions
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards


Cross-Functional:

  • Lead small, well-defined projects across the full stack, taking end-to-end ownership
  • Collaborate with team members to co-develop solutions and resolve problems
  • Apply software design principles, data structures, and design patterns to write clean, maintainable, modular code
  • Understand system and technology integration across distributed services
  • Help coordinate stakeholder input when developing solutions
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and opportunities for technical improvement
  • Test, monitor, and debug applications effectively across layers


Whatyou'llbringtotherole:

  • 5-7 years of software development experience in team environments of at least five engineers (agile, version control, etc.)
  • Proven expertise with JVM languages (Java/Kotlin) in production environments
  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, reactive frameworks)
  • Experience with frontend frameworks like React is a plus
  • Experience building and maintaining distributed systems in public or hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of data storage (SQL, NoSQL), API design, and microservices integration patterns
  • Demonstrated ability to test, monitor, and debug applications across the full stack
  • Experience with testing and monitoring tools
  • Ability to grasp how projects fit within team objectives and business needs
  • Comfortable working with moderately to highly complex systems
  • Experience with event-driven architectures
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)


Location:

  • Candidates based in Madrid, Spain: Hybrid model, 3 days per week in the office in Chamartin
