Job description

Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer (Banking & CIAM)

Job Type: Contract (W2 Only)

Experience Level: 7+ Years

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience for a Contract (W2 Only) engagement. In this role, you will design and implement resilient, high-throughput microservices for critical banking and financial applications.

You will focus on strengthening our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Fraud & Risk Management systems. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in banking systems, modern API design, and automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Core Banking & CIAM Engineering: Architect, develop, and maintain secure, high-concurrency Java/Spring Boot microservices powering core banking workflows, user authentication, and access delegation.

  • Identity & Access Control: Implement modern IAM/CIAM standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, RBAC/ABAC) to safeguard customer transactions and profile access.

  • Fraud & Risk Engine Integration: Integrate microservices with real-time risk assessment tools and fraud-detection engines to flag suspicious transactions and satisfy regulatory compliance standards.

  • API Craftsmanship: Design, build, and document robust RESTful and event-driven APIs with low latency and high availability.

  • DevOps & Pipeline Ownership: Write unit/integration tests and collaborate with DevOps teams to manage automated CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployments.

  • Security & Performance: Conduct code reviews, security vulnerability remediations, and performance tuning for critical, high-volume financial transactions.
