About your role:
You will design, build, and modernize scalable software solutions that support secure, resilient, and high-performance platforms. You will work with architects, product partners, and engineering teams to deliver microservice-based applications, improve legacy systems, and strengthen engineering practices across the software development life cycle. This role is important to advancing platform reliability, technical quality, and delivery execution in complex business environments.
What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and enhance mission-critical applications using Java and Spring-based technologies for greenfield development and legacy modernization initiatives
  • Build and support microservice-based solutions, Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs), and event-driven integrations that meet security, performance, and scalability requirements
  • Partner with architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to define technical solutions, refine requirements, and deliver reliable software outcomes
  • Apply DevOps practices including continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and environment automation to improve delivery consistency
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support production systems in high-availability environments using observability, monitoring, and logging frameworks
  • Provide technical guidance through code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring to help improve engineering quality and support less experienced engineers
  • Promote secure coding standards, vulnerability remediation, technical debt management, and sustainable engineering practices across the development lifecycle
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 8+ years of experience in Java software development building and delivering enterprise applications in production environments
  • 6+ years of experience developing microservice-based solutions using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing REST APIs, service-to-service communication patterns, authentication, authorization, and data protection using tools and standards such as Swagger, Feign Client, and JSON Web Token (JWT)
  • 4+ years of experience working with event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ or an equivalent messaging technology, and relational database technologies in distributed systems
  • 4+ years of experience applying DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment tools, automated testing, code scanning, secure development practices, and vulnerability remediation
  • 3+ years of experience working with front-end teams and React to support responsive single-page or multi-page application development
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience integrating artificial intelligence-assisted tools into software development and testing workflows
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure native and hybrid deployment patterns
  • Experience with Kubernetes or a similar container orchestration platform
  • Experience in payments, financial services, or other high-availability transaction processing environments
