Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Senior Java Developer to join their team. This team develops and supports highly available, resilient backend services that enable seamless order processing and inventory visibility across multiple business channels and internal applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building cloud-native microservices, modernizing legacy platforms, and delivering scalable solutions in a distributed systems environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices supporting order processing, inventory availability, and fulfillment operations
* Build new cloud-native services from the ground up while contributing to large-scale platform modernization initiatives
* Migrate existing applications and services from legacy platforms to modern cloud infrastructure
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, and enterprise application teams to deliver business-critical solutions
* Develop highly resilient, scalable, and performant services capable of supporting high transaction volumes
* Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and implementation planning
* Contribute to CI/CD processes and cloud deployment strategies to improve delivery efficiency and reliability
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while maintaining system performance and availability
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5+ years of professional experience
* 2+ years of building Java based Microservices with Springboot
* Automated testing experience (TDD/Unit testing); Google Cloud Platform experience (preferred)
* Some form of NoSQL
* Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas effectively
* Go getter attitude who are learns and builds things on their own
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
