Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with deep expertise in Java API architectures and AWS cloud infrastructure to support a strategic application modernization effort. This role sits within the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector and focuses on transforming older technology platforms to efficiently process scaling business volumes and introduce highly automated workflows.
The ideal candidate brings over 7 years of progressive experience developing distributed enterprise systems, optimizing heavy database interactions, and supporting Agile Scrum delivery teams within fintech or brokerage domains.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Focus
Core Engineering: Lead development using Java, Angular, and Oracle SQL/PL-SQL (including complex database normalization and query tuning).
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Design and deploy scalable APIs within AWS environments.
CI/CD Automation: Navigate and support active DevOps pipelines across EKS, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Udeploy, Artifactory, Terraform, and Stash.
Observability & Monitoring: Maintain application health and performance visibility utilizing Splunk and Datadog.
Platform Modernization: Support the engineering transition away from manual data processes toward enterprise cloud-native architectures that prioritize scalability, volume handling, and reliability.
