DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Drive the design, development, and implementation of software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Lead code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Lead design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Operations Engineer, Sr Integration Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Operations Engineer, Sr Integration Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Developing solutions that are reliable, have high availability, and offer quick recovery; developing Java backend services in the Spring Boot framework; Developing shell scripts for automating installation of software and code deployments; Writing complex SQL queries for data analysis; Developing and designing work flows for the webMethods Integration Server and webMethods Trading Network that use the Integration Server's built in services, JDBC Adapter, MQ Adapter, and EDIINT module; developing and designing custom adaptors for the webMethods Integration Server; Installing and configuring webMethods Integration Server and MWS; Debugging services running in the webMethods Integration Server to identify defects. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Breaking down projects into smaller manageable cycles using Agile SDLC; Using Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines to integrate applications with modern data storage solutions including S3; Using Automated Testing to automate the execution of quality assurance and performance testing by creating complex scripts and programs; Integrating Prometheus and Dynatrace into the webMethods and Spring Boot frameworks to create performance metrics for identification of capacity limitations; Managing file systems, CPU and memory utilization, user accounts, and file permissions using Linux OS Administration; Troubleshooting SFTP, HTTPS, and AS2 file transmissions.
