Job description

The Senior Integration Engineer designs, builds, secures, and supports enterprise integration services. This role enables reliable data exchange across Salesforce, franchise systems, QuickBooks, payroll, accounting, payment platforms, data services, and other enterprise applications. The role is hands-on and accountable for API design, event orchestration, integration reliability, monitoring, and operational support.

Responsibilities:

Integration Design and Engineering

  • Design and implement scalable integrations using AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, or related services in other tech stack (Ex: Azure, Boomi).
  • Define reusable API patterns, event models, error handling standards, retry strategies, and integration observability practices.
  • Translate business and system requirements into secure, maintainable integration services.
  • Build integrations that support Salesforce, accounting systems, franchise applications, payments, reporting, and operational systems.

Platform Operations

  • Develop production-grade serverless services using Python, Node.js, or equivalent runtime languages.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, tracing, and dashboards to support integration SLAs and production operations.
  • Own incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for integration failures.
  • Maintain secure secrets management, IAM patterns, encryption standards, and API authentication controls.

Franchise and Enterprise Integration Enablement

  • Help design and maintain a franchise integration registry to support brand, owner, location, accounting, payroll, and system mapping needs.
  • Enable repeatable onboarding patterns for franchise systems and third-party vendors.
  • Partner with Salesforce engineering teams to support bidirectional data flows between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Create documentation, runbooks, data contracts, and integration standards for internal and external teams.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software engineering or integration engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with serverless or cloud-native integration patterns.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, event-driven architecture, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Hands-on development experience with Python, Node.js, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Experience building production integrations for SaaS, financial, ERP, CRM, or operational platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce integration experience, including platform events, API limits, bulk integration, and error replay patterns.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, payment gateways, payroll systems, ERP, or franchise technology platforms.
  • Experience with Boomi, Informatica, or other integration platforms.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud cost management.
