Job description

Sr. Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer
Arkema's Beaumont Plant is seeking an experienced Senior I&E Engineer to lead instrumentation and electrical engineering initiatives that support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role plays a key part in driving capital projects, supporting process control systems, improving electrical reliability, and providing technical leadership across the site.
As a senior technical resource on-site, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance, Operations, and corporate teams to troubleshoot complex instrumentation and electrical issues, implement improvement projects, and optimize plant control systems. This position requires strong technical expertise in instrumentation, controls, electrical distribution systems, and project management, along with the ability to lead continuous improvement efforts and mentor developing engineers
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead I&E capital projects from design through construction, commissioning, and startup.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for instrumentation, analyzers, controls, PLCs, DCS, electrical systems, and plant utility assets.
  • Drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives through root cause investigations, performance analysis, and execution of reliability projects.
  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Reliability teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
  • Mentor and develop I&E personnel while supporting turnarounds, training, and site-wide technical initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Instrumentation project engineering and design experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, electrical systems, and industrial troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting DCS and PLC-based control systems in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
