ย You will be a part of our growing nuclear team where we ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems.ย ย  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:ย 

  • Prepare engineering work packages to ensure that project budgets and schedules are metย 
  • Define I&C project requirements as they relate to scope,ย costย and scheduleย 
  • Develop and/or review I&C deliverables such asย design requirements, P&IDS, PFDs, layout drawings/instrumentation drawings, datasheets, installation details, elementary/connection diagrams, prepare technical specifications for I&C systems and moreย 
  • Willing to mentor junior and intermediate staffย 
  • Participate in HAZOP, COMS and other safety related reviews as requiredย 
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines including participation in design reviews
  • Provide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimatesย 
  • Actively manage relationships with vendors and clients

You bring to the role:ย ย 

  • B.Sc./B.Eng.ย inย electrical, I&C, or systems engineering from an accredited universityย ย 
  • Registration as a professional engineerย in Ontario, or eligible toย obtain.ย 
  • Valid security clearance for Canada, or eligible to obtain
  • Minimum 10 years of project experience specific to instrumentation and control systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsย 
  • Excellent planning and organizational skillsย 
  • Ability to function with minimal supervisionย 
  • Experience with working inside a Nuclear Quality Management System compliant with CSA N286, NQA-1, and / or ISO 19443
  • Familiar with grading approach for engineering and procurement activitiesย 
  • Sound understanding of engineering codes CSA N series,ย ISAย and IECย 
  • Experience with construction & commissioningย 
  • Experience working in the Canadian nuclear industry with clients such as Ontario Power Generation, Bruce Power and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories
  • Experience with Engineering Change Control (ECC) processes within the Canadian nuclear industry including CANDU station configuration management systems
  • Preference for those with DTL or DE qualifications at Canadian nuclear facilitiesย 
  • Eligible to work on export-controlled projects subject to 10 CFR 810

Base salary range: $131,000 - $181,000
