JOB STATUS: Full-Time

CERTIFICATION: DOD 8140 Level 3 Certification

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an SE-4 Cloud Engineer located at Eglin AFB, FL.

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of 48 Cyberspace Test Squadron’s cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, technologies, and best practices. The Cloud Engineer will work closely with squadron test teams, developers, and leadership to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of 48CTS cloud-based services and applications. This role encompasses building, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to meet current and future business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted for education.
  • Active Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

RESPONSIBILITIES
