Job Summary
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will ensure the optimal implementation of Surescripts' technology infrastructure. This includes designing, documentation, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing IT infrastructure with alignment to security, including Private and Public Cloud infrastructure and enterprise software solutions. This role will work within the Infrastructure Engineering group and across Operations and Security to ensure secure, reliable and efficient Operations.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in development of strategic goals and plans for systems and storage infrastructure both Public and Private, capacity planning and the Automation of administrative tasks.
  • Conduct cost benefit analysis of infrastructure systems and technology solutions including new products / services as well as maintaining / refreshing existing infrastructure.
  • Provide input / feedback regarding system design and implementation, including technical feasibility, budgetary considerations, enterprise alignment / consistency, etc.
  • Improve or replace legacy processes by automating / streamlining
  • Document system configuration and operation procedures
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure existence and viability of Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery planning, including identification of key infrastructure, RPO / RTO, and likely points of failure
  • Design, document, Implement and deploy enterprise management tools, improve/automate security compliance processes in our Public and Private environments
  • Manage and maintain both Public and Private (Hybrid) infrastructure
  • Develop and deploy methodologies for testing system performance, validating health providing statistics and reports
  • Provide escalation support for Operation issues, as well as resolution of complex technical problems across technology departments

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, information sciences or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering role
  • Experience with:
    • VMware technologies (vSphere / ESXi 8x)
    • Enterprise storage technologies such as (SAN, FC, ZFS)
    • Technical knowledge of server operating systems
    • Managing Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
    • Hands-on Public cloud implementation / administration
    • Automation experience with common Automation/orchestration tools

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving & analytical thinking
  • VMware vSphere / ESXi
  • Knowledge of enterprise storage and backup Solutions
  • Experience with Surescripts' software
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow & ITIL methodologies
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance requirements

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $134,600 - $164,600 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
