Primary responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering and design of transmission and distribution line projects, with a strong emphasis on PLS‑CADD modeling and analysis.
  • Develop and review transmission line layouts, structure loading, sag‑tension calculations, and clearance analyses.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for engineers and designers, providing guidance, QA/QC, and design oversight.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines (substation, civil, environmental, right‑of‑way) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Interface directly with clients, utilities, and project stakeholders to define scope, schedule, and technical approach.
  • Review and stamp engineering deliverables as appropriate.
  • Participate in field visits, constructability reviews, and support during construction as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement, standards development, and best practices within the Transmission & Distribution group.
Qualifications

You are passionate about:

  • Working collaboratively with others.
  • Having ownership in the work you do.
  • Using your talents to positively affect communities.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in PLS CADD; experience with PLS POLE and PLS TOWER is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and performing detailed engineering calculations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience working with utility clients and applicable industry standards.
