Job Summary

The Systems Administrator (Intermediate/Senior) is responsible for administering, maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise IT systems that support mission-critical operations. The role manages server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, cloud technologies, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, backup and recovery solutions, and cybersecurity compliance while ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and health using enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Perform patch management, configuration management, and system optimization.
  • Administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, messaging systems, clustering services, and System Center Management.
  • Manage backup and recovery operations using enterprise backup solutions.
  • Ensure servers, storage platforms, workstations, and software comply with security standards.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices and perform vulnerability remediation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base resources.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Maintain databases and mission-support systems.

Required QualificationsIntermediate Level
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate certification.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of system administration, troubleshooting, and enterprise IT operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions such as NetBackup, Veeam, or HPE StoreOnce.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
