We are seeking a manager level Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA) team. This individual will be a member of the Geneva Leadership Team, responsible for driving HSE continuous improvement, compliance, and engagement within our manufacturing sites. The role reports to the SME/HTS Sr. HSE Director and manages a part-time nurse. 

As an HSE Manager, the successful candidate must be results driven and able to develop strong relationships with the site manufacture leadership team.  The candidate must be compliance focused and provide hands-on support to factories with the ability to deploy continuous improvement through a strong MOS; to drive goals, objectives, improve culture and behaviors. 

We are looking for a strong person and process leader, capable of managing, coaching/mentoring factory supervision.

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering or related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive health, safety, and environmental experience, with increased responsibility.
  • Leadership experience in managing people.
  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing a compliance strategy; both Honeywell HSE Management System, and regulatory requirements at the manufacturing location.
  • Leading the execution of the IA HSE vision and mission through deployment of the HSE ISC Management System.
  • Partner with the site leadership to achieve the ISC goals and objectives.
  • Ability to reduce the risk profile by identifying gaps through self-assessment, audits, GEMBAs, and 3rd party inspections.
  • Strong ability to useHoneywell Manufacturing eXcellence/Lean Practices and Principles to develop, deploy, and continuously improve HSE results and improve efficiencies.
  • Work in concert with IA HSEPS to assure consistent and effective auditing of regulatory requirements and Honeywell Level 1 and Level 2 Standards.
  • Heavy focus on injury reduction through culture and behaviors initiatives.
