Job Description
Home Health Aides at Senior Helpers provide personal care services for our clients that enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes. Caregiver duties include helping clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and toileting. Examples include:
  • Companionship (playing games, talking, going for walks)
  • Light housekeeping, including laundry
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as showering, eating, and grooming
  • Transfer assistance between bed, chairs, wheelchairs, etc.
  • Transportation to appointments and errands
  • Medication reminders

Qualifications Needed:
  • Previous professional experience (with an agency or a care facility) providing personal care services.
  • Valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID
  • Clear Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA). Information about the Level 2 background screen can be found here: Clearinghouse Education and Awareness
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have an active CPR certification form an in-person, hands-on course.
  • Reliable transportation to and from shifts
  • Excellent communication skills with a kind, caring and compassionate demeanor
