This position is located in Tampa, Florida.
Job Overview
Chugach is seeking a senior network engineer in the local Tampa Bay area to join its team and assist with designing and implementing new architecture into an existing DoD environment. You will be part of a team of network engineers analyzing current infrastructure reliability for the purpose of optimizing and new technology insertion. You will also travel globally to various locations to conduct site surveys and install hardware implementing new equipment into an existing network.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with IP protocols, WAN, encryption devices, routing switching, testing and evaluation. This position works in a hybrid DoD lab environment collaborating with various stakeholders to stay at the forefront of new and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
  • Working knowledge of IP Protocols, routing, switching, acceleration, encryption, firewalls, devices at an advanced level
  • Ability to travel globally conduct site surveys and install hardware into an existing network
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting across WAN
  • Ability to perform circuit testing and activation utilizing test equipment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating on best practices and performance improvement
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information at all levels
  • Minimum six years of experience supporting C4I networks, designing, implementing, testing and evaluation of enterprise IT services

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience with the development of network engineering documentation, plans and diagrams

  • TS clearance with SCI obtainability
  • Industry Certification: security+
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to successfully pass any background check and / or drug testing required on the contract
