Data Analyst- Finance (On-site) Corporate
Corporate Location: 253 America Place, Jeffersonville, IN 47130
Reports to:
The Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Job Overview:
The Analysis Analyst is responsible for producing accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting used by executive leadership and the Board of Directors. This role is heavily focused on developing, maintaining, and improving recurring reports, validating data accuracy, identifying trends and variances, and translating financial information into meaningful business insights. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and a passion for producing high-quality work.
This job is not strictly a 9:00 to 5:00 position, it is a position that provides exposure to executive leadership, the opportunity to grow in both analytical and presentation skills and contribute to the decision-making process of a growing company. If you bring motivation, energy, and curiosity to this fast-paced analysis role, we will provide projects and challenges to grow your decision-making skills.
This role provides support to the FP amp;A group in executing the Department’s responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective communication process with key stakeholders and department heads to ensure that budgets and monthly analyses are accurate, complete, and timely, and are in line with corporate initiatives
  • Own the preparation, validation, and continuous improvement of the weekly reporting package, ensuring reports are accurate, complete, visually clear, and delivered on schedule while providing meaningful business insights
  • Prepare monthly board reports, as well as board packet for on-site board meetings and board calls
  • Provide data analysis to the executive team related to sales, expenses, balance sheet metrics, etc., as assigned
  • Provide analytical assistance to the marketing department to effectively communicate return on advertising spend and success/failure of marketing campaigns as well as spending variances to budget and preparation of annual and periodic forecasts
  • Complete variance analysis for the month-end close process as assigned and communicate any issues timely to the Assistant Controller
  • Liaison between IT and the Finance group to develop, validate, and maintain automated reports that communicate key performance metrics
  • Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data reports in a timely manner
  • Rotational weekend reporting responsibility typically requiring approximately 1–2 hours each day
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Ability to convert financial data into meaningful business information for presentations to Senior Management
  • Ability to develop conclusions from data reports/review to contribute valuable insight for decision makers
  • Experience with financial modeling, graphs, and charts in Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to identify errors, validate data integrity, and consistently produce highly accurate reports used by executive leadership
  • Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; need to be creative, adaptable, and able to accurately work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and establish timelines to manage multiple deadlines and objectives
  • Knowledgeable in SQL, a plus
