Job description

We are looking for a talented, entrepreneurial Senior Program Manager to help stand up and lead one of the most exciting programs in CLEAResult's history! This is a rare opportunity to build a brand-new, high-visibility program from the ground up — implementing energy efficiency programs across Mississippi. If you're energized by launching something new, working at the intersection of federal and state funding, and making a visible, lasting impact on communities and homeowners, this role is for you.

As Senior Program Manager, you will lead CLEAResult's implementation of residential energy efficiency programs in Mississippi. This role oversees all phases of program implementation — including program design and launch, cost management, performance tracking, customer and client satisfaction, subcontractor oversight, and strategic coordination. You'll serve as a key point of contact for state agency and/or utility partners, lead program review sessions, and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring this landmark program to life.

Key responsibilities include program and team leadership, budget and P&L oversight, KPI achievement, contract and grant compliance, and close coordination with engineering, marketing, operations, and compliance teams. This role also leads customer satisfaction initiatives, trade ally engagement, and support for all program sub-components — all while helping shape what a successful program looks like in Mississippi from day one.

Why this role?

This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a brand-new program with strong executive visibility and significant growth potential. You'll bring your program management expertise to a mission-driven effort that's putting historic federal investment to work for Mississippi communities — and you'll help define what success looks like as one of the program's earliest leaders.

You're a great fit if you can…

  • Lead the launch and ongoing management of a new, large-scale Energy Efficiency Program, with significant annual program revenue ($5M - $7M)
  • Lead contract and grant execution, ensuring full compliance with federal program requirements, state administering agency guidelines, and funding agreements
  • Oversee program P&L reporting, KPI tracking, and performance-based compensation delivery for a brand-new program with high organizational visibility
  • Direct and coordinate multi-functional teams, including direct reports and subcontractors, as the program scales
  • Serve as a primary liaison with state agency and/or utility partners, leading program review sessions and strategic planning conversations
  • Ensure program implementation aligns with federal and state regulatory requirements, grant terms and conditions, market trends, and customer needs
  • Coordinate with contact center and marketing teams to support program development, community outreach, and participant engagement
  • Oversee customer satisfaction initiatives and trade ally engagement across the state
  • Support the development of new processes and tools to enhance program delivery — helping define best practices for a program that's still being built
  • Develop strategies to expand participation and savings, positioning the program for long-term growth and impact
  • Ensure accurate reporting and data management in coordination with the centralized operations team, meeting the rigorous documentation standards required of federal and state grant funding
  • Collaborate with other Program Managers across CLEAResult's growing IRA and grant-funded program portfolio

Exciting candidates have…

  • 8+ years of project/program management experience, preferably in energy efficiency, utility programs, or federal/state grant-funded programs
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience managing large-scale programs; preferably residential, income-eligible, or grant-funded programs
  • Experience working with federal and/or state grants — understanding grant compliance, reporting requirements, and funding agency relationships is highly valued
  • Familiarity with the energy efficiency and electrification provisions (e.g., HOMES and/or HEAR programs) is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication, client management, and leadership skills — especially the ability to build strong relationships with government and agency partners
  • Ability to travel regularly across Mississippi and to CLEAResult, client/agency, or customer sites
  • Bachelor's degree required; MS or MBA preferred
