Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location - Cincinnati, OH

About the Role

  • You will design, build, and maintain full stack enterprise applications spanning modern React front-end experiences and reactive Java microservices. You will own the full lifecycle of application development-from Ul architecture, API design, authentication flows, and data transformation through testing, observability, deployment automation, and production support-within a Kubernetes-hosted, CI/CD-driven environment.
  • You bring strong opinions on system design and front-end architecture, move fast without sacrificing quality, and actively use Al-assisted tooling to improve delivery speed, consistency, and engineering skectiveness, You are comfortable leading technical decisions within a scrum team, partnering across product, UX, and engineering, and mentoring engineers around you.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and own scalable full stack applications using React, TypeScript, Java 17+, Spring Boot, WebBux, and Project Reactor.
  • Design and maintain reactive Java microservices using non-blocking I/O, WebClient. Mono/Flux, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and performant React applications using modern patterns, hooks, reusable components, and strong state management practices.
  • Define and evolve REST API contracts with structured validation, OTO-based transformation patterns, consistent error handling, and observability.
  • Lead design and implementation of OAuth2/OpenID Connect authentication flows, token exchange patterns, credential lifecycle management, and caching strategies.
  • Integrate front-end applications with internal APIs, third-party enterprise platforms, SSO providers, and backend microservices.
  • Define front-end architecture, including routing, state management, form handling, API client patterns, accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Partner closely with UX/design, product, backend, platform, and security teams to translate Business requirements into high-quality user experiences and reliable services.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards for testing, code quality, accessibility, maintainability, and secure development practices.
  • Automate repetitive engineering tasks-component acaYolding, test generation, API client generation, code generation, documentation, and data transformation pipelines-using Al- assisted tooling such as Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
  • Optimize front-end performance through code splitting, lazy loading, memoization, bundle analysis, and Xicient async data handling.
  • Set the bar for automated test quality and coverage across the stack using tools such as Jacese SonarQube, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Own Docker multi-stage builds and deployment pipelines for full stack applications using GitHub Actions, Harness, Kubernetes, and related CI/CD tooling.
  • Champion observability across the stack, including correlation ID propagation, MDC logging. Actuator metrics, user experience monitoring, analytics, error tracking, and session diagnostics.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers, participate actively in code reviews, contribute to sprint ceremonies, and help raise the overall technical bar of the team.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience across full stack application development.
  • Strong Java development experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with reactive programming using Project Reactor, WebFlux Mono/Flux, nonblocking
  • I/O, and WebClient
  • Strong React expertise with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, hooks, component composition,
  • And front-end architecture patterns.
  • Experience with state management and async data flows using tools such as Redux Toolkit, React Query, Zustand, or similar.
  • Proven REST API design experience, including DTO-based transformation patterns, validation,

Error handling, and API versioning considerations.

  • Strong understanding of OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SSO integrations, token exchange flows, And authentication patterns across front-end and backend applications..
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and enterprise backend services.
  • Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Experience with backend testing, code coverage, and quality tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and SonarQube.
  • Comfortable owning Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build tools and package ecosystems such as Vite, Webpack, npm or pnpm
  • Git-based workflow experience in a fast-paced CI/CD environment.
  • Daily use of Al coding assistants such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools as a core part of the development workflow.
  • Ability to lead technical decisions, communicate adeoYs, and mentor engineers within an agile scrum team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing or integrating agentic systems, including multi-step LLM workflows, tool use, or prompt engineering for code-adjacent tasks.
  • Experience with enterprise design systems or shared component libraries.
  • Knowledge of micro-frontend architecture or module federation patterns,

  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise technology environments with security, compliance, and platform governance requirements.

Environment: Enterprise technology stack. Applications are built with React, TypeScript, Java 17-, Spring Boot, and reactive microservices. Backend services are containerized with Docker and deployed to Kubernetes through automated CI/CD pipelines. Front-end applications are built and deployed through modern CI/CD workflows with automated testing, quality scans, and coverage checks before merge. We actively invest in Al-assisted engineering tooling and expect senior engineers to help shape how the team adopts it responsibly, securely, and at speed.
