Job description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Full Stack Java Developer with strong experience in building scalable, cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Java, Angular, and AWS services, with a solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
You will work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
In this role, you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices
• Build responsive and user friendly front end applications using Angular
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless system integration
• Implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS infrastructure, including:
o AWS ECS
o AWS RDS
o AWS S3
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability
• Write clean, reusable, and well tested code following best practices
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and architecture teams throughout the SDLC
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in software development
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including serverless and containerized workloads
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to $ 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
