Position Summary
The Senior Full-Stack Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting InCircle's cloud-based, multi-tenant SaaS platform. This role works across the full technology stack, including user interface, API, workflow, integration, and data layers, to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and compliant digital health solutions.
This position partners with Product, Clinical, Data, Security, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to translate complex business and clinical requirements into effective technical solutions. The role also contributes to architecture design, engineering standards, code quality, system performance, platform reliability, and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role requiring strong technical judgment, full-stack development expertise, and experience building enterprise-grade SaaS solutions in regulated healthcare, life sciences, or similarly complex environments.
Essential Functions and Duties
Application Development & Platform Engineering:
  • Design, develop, test, and support full-stack applications across user interface, API, workflow, integration, and data layers.=
  • Build modular, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS solutions using sound architecture patterns, reusable components, and enterprise design practices.
  • Develop RESTful APIs, micro-services, service contracts, and event-driven integrations to support platform functionality and system interoperability.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.

Data Architecture & Systems Integration:
  • Design, maintain, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for scalability, performance, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Implement workflow orchestration, business process automation, and integrations across enterprise platforms and data ecosystems.
  • Collaborate on data models, API design, service contracts, and integration patterns.

DevOps, Reliability & Production Readiness:
  • Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, including automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
  • Apply DevOps best practices, including monitoring, logging, observability, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
  • Support system reliability, production support, performance improvement, and ongoing platform stability.

Security, Compliance & Quality:
  • Build and maintain systems that support PHI handling and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, auditing, encryption, and secure development practices.
  • Ensure adherence to 21 CFR Part 11, enterprise compliance standards, coding standards, testing strategies, and code review practices.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve platform quality.

Technical Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Contribute to architecture design, technical roadmap planning, and engineering standards.
  • Partner with Product, Clinical, QA, Data, and Engineering stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and platform needs.
  • Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge, and help strengthen engineering practices and team capability.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent education and experience.

Required Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of full-stack application development across n-tier architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native application architecture, preferably using Azure services such as App Services, Functions, AKS, or related technologies.
  • Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture, modular design patterns, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design standards; GraphQL knowledge is helpful but not required.
  • Understanding of workflow engines, data pipelines, integration patterns, DevOps practices, and CI/CD automation.

Preferred Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS platforms within the healthcare, medical, life sciences, or regulated technology industries.
  • Knowledge of scalable, extensible subsystem design for commercial SaaS platforms.
  • Understanding of enterprise-volume SaaS platform scaling, performance, reliability, and maintainability considerations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory, PHI handling, or regulated software development environments.

Required Experience:
  • At least seven (7) years of full-stack SaaS development experience; eleven years required for non-degreed candidates.
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying SaaS applications in a cloud environment, preferably Azure.
  • Experience with backend development, frontend frameworks, database design, APIs, integrations, DevOps practices, and secure software development.

Preferred Experience:
  • Ten years of progressive experience building modular, multi-tenant, scalable, extensible, and secure SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with modern, cloud-scale CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Experience defining architecture standards, driving technical decisions, owning code reviews, and supporting performance optimization.
  • Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated development environments.

Preferred Experience:
  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in building modular, multi-tenant, scalable, extensible & secure SaaS platforms.
  • Experience in modern, cloud-scale CI/CD & Dev ops.
