RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Armonk, NY that is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer.
Summary:
Our client, a leading organization in the utilities industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, building, and enhancing enterprise-scale applications. This individual will play a key role in delivering modern, cloud-based solutions that support critical business operations.
This is not a traditional development role. We are looking for a highly accomplished engineer who can independently lead technical initiatives from concept through production, make sound architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality software with minimal oversight.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative Agile environment, communicates effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, and takes ownership of delivering scalable, maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise-grade full stack applications
* Own technical initiatives from requirements gathering through production implementation
* Design scalable and maintainable solutions using modern Microsoft technologies and React
* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET and C#
* Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
* Design, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases, queries, and data models for performance and scalability
* Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver business value
* Mentor developers by promoting engineering best practices, clean code principles, and high-quality software delivery
* Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning sessions
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, DevOps practices, and Agile ceremonies
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of professional software engineering experience** developing enterprise applications
* Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), software design patterns, and SOLID principles
* Experience developing and deploying applications within Microsoft Azure
* Strong understanding of modern software architecture and application lifecycle management
* Experience working within Agile software development methodologies
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Can independently lead complex technical initiatives from inception through successful delivery
* Requires minimal direction while consistently delivering high-quality solutions
* Demonstrates ownership of architecture, technical decisions, and execution
* Is comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving projects forward proactively
* Collaborates effectively across engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders
* Brings exceptional depth in Microsoft technologies while remaining hands-on across the full application stack
* Has a proven history of delivering scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions in complex environments
Extensive experience developing full stack applications using:
* React
* TypeScript
* C#
* .NET Core (.NET 6/7/8 and newer versions)
* Entity Framework Core
* RESTful Web APIs
Expert-level experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
* Data modeling
* Database design
* SQL query development
* Performance tuning and optimization
* LINQ queries
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and release management
* Experience designing cloud-native applications within Microsoft Azure
* Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineering teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
