Overview Sr. Investment Accounting and Finance Analyst - HYBRID (Carmel, IN) This range is provided by 40|86 Advisors. Base pay range : $87,400.00/yr - $131,000.00/yr Additional compensation types : Annual Bonus The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible. Employer : 40|86 Advisors is hiring a Sr Investment Accounting and Finance Analyst who will provide direct support to mid-level business or functional leaders of 40|86 Advisors with valuation and credit loss recommendations generated through technical analysis within a Sarbanes-Oxley controlled work environment. This position will also support in generating and reviewing for reasonableness the Transaction and Attribution reports and will assist in gathering and producing this information for front office staff such as traders, portfolio managers and research staff. The Senior will prepare deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting and audit needs. The Senior is also responsible for identifying process improvements and value-added project work while maintaining business continuity and timely reporting. This is your opportunity to be part of the growing investment subsidiary of CNO Financial Group. Responsibilities Directly partnering with 40|86 Front Office and impacted 40|86 associates to review and analyze Valuation, Transactions, and Attribution results that are part of regularly scheduled monthly and quarterly meetings. Support the 4-day security pricing process from data gathering and aggregation, report preparation, analyzing pricing from brokers and vendors, reviewing and documenting pricing results for unusual trends or fluctuations, and setting up meetings with 40|86 Front Office and key 40|86 associates. Prepare final Pricing data for monthly financial reporting; prepare Pricing documentation for audit review. Assist in the aggregation of investment transaction information for all 40|86 asset classes. Prepare weekly preliminary Transactions report and review reporting results to ensure reasonableness of data (yields, par, gain/loss, credit rating, ESG rating); provide final Transactions report and present to 40|86 President, Front Office, and key associates. Assist in the aggregation of investment information for all asset classes to create monthly Attribution reports and review results to ensure data reasonableness (outperformance results, sector contributions, yield curve contributions) and present final Attribution report to senior leadership and key associates. Perform other month-end/quarter-end or ad hoc work requiring analysis as needed. Identify processing improvement opportunities (analyzing current processes, implementing efficiencies, automation, and risk reduction). Maintain adequate documentation and controls over security Pricing, Credit Loss, Transactions, and Attribution processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, and Oracle BI skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft and deliver clear management presentations What will set you apart CPA or CFA preferred Prior experience in fixed-income security valuation Experience with pricing vendors such as BAML, BVAL, DebtX, Refinitiv, HIS Markit, and IDC Experience with regulatory requirements, such as GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Short-term & long-term disability insurance Paid time-off and corporate holidays Paid parental leave Work arrangement This role is hybrid affiliated to the Carmel Corporate Office.
