Job Summary

This position will provide compliance support to the Accumulation & Retirement Income division's wholesale life insurance and annuity business by responding to compliance inquiries, conducting marketing material review, evaluating current business processes for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and investigating and resolving compliance-related concerns involving agents. Additionally, this role will assist with intradepartmental compliance and technology initiatives, as well as drafting educational content to improve compliance awareness and effectiveness. This role will interact with other business leaders to help drive Compliance initiatives across various teams. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the fixed life and annuity wholesaling business model and have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and regulatory awareness.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Act as compliance liaison for assigned areas and assist with creating a culture of compliance through training, engagement and providing consistent feedback on compliance standards.
  • Responsible for the identification, analysis, communication and resolution of advertising deficiencies, lead generation practices, agent conduct, and other compliance issues for assigned areas.
  • Review life insurance and annuity marketing material for compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and educational material.
  • Work with internal and external partners on vetting and implementing compliance and business initiatives.
  • Participate in compliance projects, such as onboarding new technology, and serve as backup to other functions as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Background in the insurance industry or compliance-related position preferred
  • Experience with insurance advertising review requirements preferred
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to communicate well to both senior management and sales professionals.
  • Ability to build business partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
