Senior Financial Analyst

Location: (Atlanta, GA)

Contract- 6 Months

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, forecasting project costs, and providing strategic financial insights to support business unit objectives. This role involves budgeting, financial modeling, compliance tracking, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership and multiple business contacts.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data, including budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Perform month-end accruals and corrective measures, such as cost transfers and expenditure batches.
  • Track and compare actual financial results with forecasts to assess financial status.

Business Studies & Forecasting

  • Assist in developing forecast models to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Document key assumptions related to semi-annual compliance filings and budget submittals.
  • Monitor project schedules and adjust financial tasks and resources accordingly.

Strategic Advisory & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with senior financial analysts to advise on financial actions based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with multiple business contacts to implement budget and schedule changes.
  • Influence forecasting strategies and consult with management to drive long-term financial decision-making.
  • Support change management initiatives by ensuring budget and schedule updates are accurately accounted for.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications (MS Office required).
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
