Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. This role will play a key part in leading the annual operating budget process, managing rolling forecast updates, and providing impactful analysis to guide business strategy and decision-making. The position involves building and iterating complex financial models, tracking key operating metrics, and preparing/presenting financial reports to senior leadership.

This is a highly visible role that supports critical financial planning activities, requiring both strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute assigned financial planning and analysis tasks that support routine activities and project goals.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support revenue growth strategy, cost structure management, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Partner with supervisory personnel to establish methods and techniques, contributing to the achievement of project goals.
  • Recommend alternatives, identify new techniques, and collaborate with senior team members to problem-solve effectively.
  • Participate in group meetings; present results, interpret data, and draw conclusions to support decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including Board-level reporting.
  • Track and monitor key operating metrics to drive greater efficiency across the business.
  • Create ad-hoc analyses to support business initiatives, strategy, and ROI optimization.
  • Leverage AI functionality to automate data entry and reduce manual tasks.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong judgment in selecting methods and techniques for problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to network and collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Technical background to build and maintain financial reporting models and calculations.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience delivering results in team settings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day instruction while delivering high-quality results.
