Financial Project Coordinator (100% Remote)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Work Authorization: At this time, we are not able to consider Corp-to-Corp (C2C) candidates, or candidates that required visa sponsorship.

Overview
  • We are seeking a highly organized and financially savvy Project Financial Coordinator to support project delivery within a complex, enterprise PMO environment.
  • This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, tracking financial performance, maintaining project documentation, and partnering with project managers, finance teams, and business stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and within forecast.
  • This position is ideal for candidates who have experience managing and complete ownership of project financial reporting, forecasting, resource allocation tracking, and executive-level reporting while supporting multiple concurrent projects.

Your Profile Must Demonstrate The Following:

  • Direct experience supporting project delivery within a PMO or project management environment.
  • Hands-on ownership of project financial activities, including forecasting, budget tracking, accruals, invoice coding, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills used for financial reporting, dashboards, data analysis, Pivot Tables, forecasting, and financial tracking.
  • Experience partnering with Project Managers and Finance teams to monitor project financial health and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • The ability to clearly articulate individual ownership and contributions rather than simply supporting project teams administratively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
  • Manage project financial activities including forecasts, accruals, invoice coding, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze actual versus forecasted project spend and identify financial variances and trends.
  • Produce recurring financial reports, dashboards, and executive-level project status updates.
  • Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, vendors, and finance partners to ensure accurate project financial management.
  • Support project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring projects remain aligned with business goals and financial expectations.
Required Qualifications / Must-Have Experience
  • Strong Project Coordination experience within a PMO or enterprise project environment.
  • Experience managing project financials, including:
    • Forecasting
    • Budget tracking
    • Accruals
    • Invoice coding
    • Financial analysis
    • Financial reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience creating reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting executive decision-making.
  • Azure DevOps (ADO) experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial services or finance-driven project experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology, infrastructure, or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience using project portfolio management and reporting tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
