Job description

Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) serves as a strategic finance partner supporting organizational growth, service line development, operational improvement, and executive decision-making across Conway Medical Center and its affiliates. The SFA works collaboratively with Financial Planning & Analysis, Decision Support, Reimbursement, and operational leadership to evaluate new programs, develop business cases and proformas, perform market and competitive analyses, support value analysis initiatives, and lead special projects. This role acts as a bridge between financial planning, decision support, and organizational strategy by transforming data into actionable recommendations that support long-term organizational objectives.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or health care administration required OR 10 years hospital decision support experience.
Experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ hospital data support experience required.
  • Specific experience in healthcare/hospital-based data support work preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • None

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of financial proformas, business plans, and return-on-investment analyses for new programs, services, technologies, physician recruitment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as project lead for special initiatives assigned by executive leadership.
  • Partner with operational leadership to evaluate performance improvement opportunities and identify sustainable financial and operational enhancements.
  • Support organizational planning activities through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and long-range forecasting.
  • Conduct financial, operational, productivity, and return-on-investment analyses to evaluate new programs, equipment, technologies, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend strategies to improve financial performance, enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Clinical Operations, Materials Management, and other stakeholders to support charge capture, reimbursement optimization, and overall financial integrity.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators, benchmarks, exception reporting, and analytical tools to proactively identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support procurement, contract management, inventory oversight, and vendor performance activities to ensure cost-effective operations and appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of financial and operational data while maintaining reporting processes, documentation, and analytical methodologies.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the organization, communicate complex financial information effectively to various audiences, participate in strategic initiatives and committees, and perform other duties as assigned.
