Role: Senior React & Python (FastAPI) Developer
Location: Location: Chicago/Hybrid - 3 days a week
Job Description Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in React, Python, and FastAPI, and a proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance web applications, designing clean architectures, and delivering end-to-end solutions in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend (React)
  • Develop responsive, modular, and high-performance UI components using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
  • Architect reusable components, hooks, and state-management patterns (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or Context API).
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket-based real-time features.
  • Optimize frontend performance, bundle size, and rendering efficiency.
  • Implement UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.

Backend (Python + FastAPI)
  • Design and develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
  • Build asynchronous, high-performance API endpoints leveraging FastAPI's async capabilities.
  • Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Develop background tasks, schedulers, and event-driven workflows (SQS).
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure high code quality.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend ecosystems.
  • Advanced experience with Python and FastAPI for backend development.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications
