Job Description We are seeking a Senior Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API-first Python services, microservices, and CI/CD and a proven ability to deliver reliable, test-driven backend systems at scale. Responsibilities: Design and develop Python-based microservices and RESTful APIs using FastAPI. Implement robust OOP/OOD patterns and ensure code quality through TDD. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including deployment verification and issue remediation. Leverage AI-assisted development tools, review generated code, and improve consistency. Create and execute unit tests and test cases from JIRA stories and requirements. Monitor production systems, investigate alerts, and drive resolution using Splunk dashboards and searches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable services. Required Skills & Qualifications: Expert-level Python backend development with FastAPI and WSGI/ASGI servers such as Gunicorn. Proven experience building API-driven systems and microservices. Strong OOD/OOP skills and familiarity with Python virtual environments. Hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience, including deployment verification and troubleshooting. TDD mindset with the ability to write and maintain unit tests and interpret test cases. Proficiency with Git and GitHub; familiarity with GitFlow or GitOps practices. Experience with monitoring and alerting; ability to use tools such as Splunk for searches and dashboards. Comfort with artifact management tools such as Artifactory. 7+ years of backend engineering experience with complex, data-heavy systems. Preferred Skills: Exposure to AI/GenAI development tools, GitHub Copilot, LLM workflows, and code review of AI-generated outputs. Financial services or risk technology background.
