As a Senior Data Analyst at Walmart, you will leverage advanced analytical techniques and data visualization tools to transform complex data into actionable business insights. This role requires deep understanding of data ecosystems, quality management, and business context across multiple domains. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify data sources, ensure data integrity, and support strategic decision-making through clear, impactful communication. Your expertise will drive improvements in business performance by applying statistical analysis, exploratory data methods, and data governance principles, contributing to Walmart's commitment to operational excellence and informed growth.
About the team:
The Earnings Excellence Finance Data Analytics team serves as Operations analytics hub for Walmart's EE Finance organization, driving data-informed decisions across the network. Our mission provide E2E visibility into Driver Earnings and Disbursements through actionable insights for Compliance and regulatory purposes.
We focus on:
Building dashboards and tools to monitor Driver Earnings KPIs and operational performance.
Supporting Functional teams within finance and other groups through advanced analytics and optimization strategies.
Providing ad-hoc analytics for leadership to enable quick, informed decision-making.
Driving analytics for pilots and strategic initiatives, ensuring data-backed recommendations for future growth.
What you'll do:
Data Management & Quality - Discover, Extract and validate data from multiple sources; maintain scalable pipelines and architectures. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards.
Analytics & Insights - Perform advanced analysis using SQL, Python, and statistical methods to uncover trends and opportunities. Build dashboards and translate complex data into actionable insights for efficiency and cost savings.
Business Partnership -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems and align metrics. Communicate insights through clear storytelling and visualizations for audiences.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement - Lead root cause analysis and recommend process enhancements. Identify and implement data-driven opportunities for operational efficiency.
Leadership & Technical Expertise - Mentor teams on data-driven decision-making and process improvements. Ensure data quality and governance for analytics and model deployment (e.g., GCP BigQuery).
What you'll bring:
Expertise in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
Strong knowledge of data quality management, data governance, and database technologies
Experience applying statistical techniques and exploratory data analysis
Ability to translate business requirements into impactful data projects
Proven track record of delivering insights in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Understanding of Walmart LMD Operations Have worked on BQ datasets, Connect Upstream to Finance usecases using DCA & other Data assets
This is an onsite job based in Bentonville, AR
Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
