Job Description:
The Director of Supply Chain Planning provides enterprise leadership for end-to-end planning across finished goods replenishment. This role establishes and leads strategic planning initiatives that significantly influence the mid- to long-term performance of the Supply Chain organization and broader enterprise.
The Director leads the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process as a primary mechanism for cross-functional alignment, ensuring demand, supply, capacity, and network decisions are optimized for service, cost, and quality. Scope includes execution of inventory and network strategy optimization, short- and long-term capacity management, acquisition integration, and interplant flows across a complex, multi-site manufacturing and distribution network.
This role is accountable for planning outcomes, while leading and developing a large, multi-layered organization of supply chain planning leaders and professionals.
This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home.
Relocation Benefits: Receive a $10,000 relocation bonus PLUS a generous relocation package if relocating more than 50 miles for this position.

What you'll do:
Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Leadership
  • Establishes and leads the enterprise Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework to align demand, supply, capacity, and financial objectives across Sales, Marketing, Converting, Sourcing, Engineering, PIQS, Transportation, Distribution, and Planning.
  • Oversees monitoring and governance of core S&OP inputs, including demand signals, statistical forecasts, production throughput, inventory positions, and capacity constraints.
  • Ensures development of an integrated demand plan that combines statistical forecasting, business intelligence, and commercial insights, enabling informed executive decision-making.
  • Provides regular executive-level updates and recommendations, translating complex trade-offs into clear options and implications for senior leadership.

Strategic Network & Capacity Planning
  • Leads mid- to long-term capacity planning across plants, production lines, and distribution centers, ensuring alignment with growth, innovation, and acquisition strategies.
  • Guides enterprise decisions related to capital deployment, network expansion or contraction, production sourcing, and acquisition integration.
  • Ensures planning strategies balance customer service, partner work-life sustainability, capacity utilization, and total cost.

Operational Excellence: Cost, Quality & Service
  • Leads continuous improvement of planning processes for finished goods to improve service performance, inventory health, and total delivered cost.
  • Drives systemization, automation, and advanced planning capabilities to improve decision quality, scalability, and responsiveness across the supply chain.
  • Represents Supply Chain Planning on enterprise and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring planning implications are embedded in strategic decisions.

Leadership, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Leads a large, complex organization consisting of multiple leaders, direct reports, and extended teams.
  • Establishes and executes strategic workforce, succession, and talent development plans for the Supply Chain Planning organization.
  • Develops and mentors senior leaders and high-potential partners, ensuring strong leadership pipelines and sustainable organizational capability.
  • Ensures consistency and rigor in hiring, development, performance management, and career progression across the planning function.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Partners with leadership to ensure compliance with food safety, food quality, and customer requirements across planning and replenishment processes.
  • Interprets and communicates customer requirements to manufacturing and support teams, ensuring alignment with production planning and execution.
  • Oversees establishment, auditing, and continuous improvement of process controls, SOPs, and corrective actions related to planning and execution gaps.

Scope & Impact
  • Enterprise planning responsibility spanning finished goods production planning
  • Leads and develops a large, multi-layered organization with enterprise-wide influence
  • Regularly influences and advises executive leadership on strategic supply chain decisions

What you'll need to succeed:
Education & Experience
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations, distribution, transportation, or related disciplines
  • Significant experience leading complex, cross-functional teams in large, multi-site organizations
  • Demonstrated success operating at an enterprise and executive interface

Knowledge & Capabilities
  • Deep expertise in plant production processes, integrated supply chain planning, and order fulfillment
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data, forecasting systems, and planning technologies
  • Ability to translate complex technical and operational information into executive-level insights
  • Advanced leadership capability, including strategic thinking, influence, and change leadership
  • Proven strength in problem solving, innovation, and managing ambiguity at scale
  • Strong project and program leadership across enterprise initiatives

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations
  • Ability to independently learn and leverage advanced systems and analytics
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
