Senior Engineering Manager – Hardware

About Holley Performance Brands

For over a century, Holley Performance Brands has been at the forefront of automotive innovation — powering enthusiasts, racers, and builders who demand performance without compromise. We design, engineer, and manufacture world-class products.

At Holley, engineering is central to our mission. We’re building the next generation of performance technology — uniting engineering disciplines to create integrated systems that push the boundaries of what’s possible, from the street to the track.

Position Summary

The Engineering Manager – Electronics Hardware leads the design and development of electronic hardware for automotive applications. You will guide a team of electrical engineers and designers responsible for schematic design, PCB layout, circuit design and analysis, and validation of power, signal, and control electronics. You will manage delivery of robust, manufacturable designs that meet program cost, quality, and timing objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining a scalable, reusable, hardware platform strategy and roadmap while taking products from concept to release.

Key Responsibilities

· Be an effective people manager with the ability to get hands-on in technical design (schematics, circuit analysis, PCB layout review, electrical simulation, DFM/DFT, DVP&R, etc.)

· Coach and develop a team of engineers, PCB designers, and technicians, building an inclusive and high performance culture.

· Own planning and execution of electronics hardware projects (requirements, resources, schedules, risk management, and release readiness).

· Define and lead platform strategy for electronics systems – power distribution, analog, digital, IO, communication networks, sensors, and control devices and peripherals.

· Drive robust design reviews including: schematic, layout, DFMEA, and design verification planning to ensure robust design and validation coverage to requirements.

· Collaborate closely with Systems, Embedded Software, Mechanical, and Test and Validation teams to ensure electrical designs integrate seamlessly across disciplines.

· Oversee supplier development projects, approve and manage technical deliverables, and support component qualification and PPAP.

· Ensure compliance with EMC, ESD, environmental, and safety requirements.

· Manage New Product Development, Sustaining Engineering, and Rooy Cause/Corrective Action projects with urgency, accuracy, and accountability.

· Promote standardization, modularity, and reuse of electrical designs, components, and architectures across programs.

Required Qualifications

· B.S in Electrical Engineering, or related field.

· 7+ years in electronics product development, including 1-3 years in technical or people leadership.

· Strong background in analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, microcontroller-based systems, and communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)

· Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium).

· Strengths in PLM/PDM systems, BOM control, and engineering change management.

· Proven ability to manage engineering programs using Jira.

· Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience leading cross-functional and supplier-interfacing projects.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree in engineering or related field.

· Strong knowledge of automotive electronics, sensors, and control systems.

· Passionate about automotive performance and powertrain vehicles and systems.

· Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) fundamentals and Engine Management Systems.
