Job description

Sr. Subcontracts Administrator

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world‑class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high‑end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Administrator to support a major project in an on‑site capacity. This role performs the full range of procurement and subcontract administration activities, supporting contractors engaged in construction within the industry.

Location: Port Sulphur, LA

Responsibilities
  • Pre‑award activities such as qualifying suppliers, issuing requests for proposals, and evaluating bids through contract award.
  • Post‑award duties including contract finalization and daily subcontract administration, including communications, invoicing, change management, reporting, and closeout, while maintaining subcontract files in accordance with established procedures.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to
  • Under general supervision, participates in managing Contractors engaged in construction activities for the Energy & Chemical industry.
  • Pre‑award activities include qualifying potential bidders, assembles and issues Invitations To Bid through company's Contract Management system and assists with commercial & technical bid evaluations through contract award.
  • Post‑Award activities will include finalization and award of contracts, daily management during execution including communications, invoicing, change management, status reports and contract close out.
  • If assigned, candidate must be able to complete the site assignment under the Terms and Conditions set forth by KBR.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Business Administrations, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Subcontracts formation and administration.
  • Must have strong communication and writing skills, and attention to detail.
