They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Healthcare with 10+ years of experience who is looking to advance their career. This role is based in Seattle, WA, and offers the opportunity to lead large-scale healthcare projects within a highly respected, employee-focused organization. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pre-Design Engineering

    • Perform field surveys for electrical system design and prepare site assessment reports.

    • Prepare electrical schematic designs.

  • Design Engineering

    • Design power single line and riser diagrams.

    • Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM.

    • Select lighting fixtures and power equipment.

    • Perform lighting and power circuiting.

    • Design and coordinate lighting control systems.

    • Prepare fire alarm device layouts based on International Fire Code and NFPA 72.

    • Develop fire alarm riser diagrams, calculations, and sequence of operations.

    • Prepare enlarged plans, elevations, schedules, and details.

    • Utilize CAD/BIM standards effectively.

    • Apply California Electrical Code and Energy Standards for medium- and low-voltage systems.

    • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural teams.

    • Edit and update project specifications.

  • Project Management

    • Manage multiple large-scale projects with senior engineers and sub-consultants.

    • Provide mentorship to design engineers.

    • Prepare client proposals independently.

    • Develop new business and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Construction Administration

    • Review and respond to RFIs.

    • Review equipment submittals.

    • Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Licenses

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

    • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Experience

    • Minimum 10 years of professional electrical engineering experience.

    • Proven ability to lead electrical design projects and manage design teams.

    • Demonstrated project management capability.

  • Skills & Technical Knowledge

    • Proficient with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.

    • Familiarity with HCAI requirements.

    • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
